Camp Blues was an awesome experience, from the nice people over the excellent food to the unique location Camp offered a perfect learning atmosphere. The instructors did an amazing job meeting the needs of the whole class, from showing basic moves for beginners to tiny details for the most advanced dancers. In the one-on-ones, everybody got feedback on their individual technique and what they were working on, and the four days of complete immersion into the Blues did wonders in terms of musicality, understanding and feeling structures of a Blues song and just a big love for Blues dancing!

When it comes to deciding to attend a dance event, sometimes money is an issue. However, if the event is worth it, as Camp Blues totally was, then I hardly even think about it. 

Keeping my sternum up and my frame relaxed had already been on my list of things to work on, but the camp gave me opportunity to focus, and the instructors kept noticing them. 

The level of organization was appropriate-- more would have been too regimented, less would have been sloppy.

It was very reassuring and comforting. If the staff needed to make constructive criticism, it was easier to take because you felt the love behind it.
